General and OH&S Policies

The health and safety of all employees of Euro Pumps Group is our Primary Concern. The Management of the company is committed to providing, promoting and maintaining a working environment which involves all employees and minimises the risk to health, safety and welfare.

JSA’S/SWIMS and Risk Assessment Library

The Euro Pumps Group has a constantly evolving risk assessment library, to ensure staff and contractor safety.  The various  JSAs (Job Safety Analyses – Low risk) and SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements – Mid-Hi Risk) are available to all staff and are supplemented by regular training, combined with our quality program to provide the safest workplace.

INSURANCE

    • Mandatory Workcover and Superannuation requirements
    • Public Liability Insurance – cover is for 20 million dollars
    • Professional Indemnity Insurance – cover is for 5 million dollars

Management has a responsibility and shall;

Provide and maintain equipment and a system of work that is safe and without risk to health;

  • Make and monitor arrangements for safe use, handling, storage and transport of equipment and substances
  • Maintain the workplace in a safe and healthy condition
  • Provide adequate facilities to protect the welfare of all employees
  • Provide information, training and supervision for all employees enabling them to work in a safe and healthy environment.Managers and Supervisors also have a legal and moral responsibility for health and safety in the workplace.

MANAGER

Each Manager shall ensure that this Policy and the Occupational Health and Safety System are effectively implemented in his/her area of control and to support Supervisors and hold them accountable for their specific areas of responsibility.

SUPERVISORS

The Supervisor will be held accountable for detecting any unsafe or unhealthy condition or behaviour and ensuring the Occupational Health and Safety procedures are followed.

EMPLOYEES

All employees are required to adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety Policy and Procedures and take reasonable care for their own safety and for the safety of others at their workplace and to comply with any lawful and reasonable command in relation to their duties.
